The so-called Bai-Ty paddy soil in anhwei are not similar to the soil which with the same name in Chiangshu, because of its "Bai-Ty horizon" is situated on the upper-most site of the soil profeli and formed the horizon of the tillage, but also with more content of organic matter and plant nutrient than the lower part of the soil. This monograph which has been prepared is designed to pave the way for the further detailed investigations in.order to develop the concepts of the Bai-Ty that had been proposed out by other authors in some previous papers.
