A simple method for determination of total organic carbon in soil sediment samples using micro-wave digestion has been developed.The method shows the advantages of simple operation,less pollution,high analytical speed,better accuracy and precision over the traditional potassium dichromate oxidation method.F test and t test prove that the method is reliable.
